WelcomeStellar evolution codes can be complicated to use, so we are offering MESA-Web, a web-based interface to the stellar evolution code, Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics (MESA).
MESA-Web can be used for education purposes to calculate stellar models over a range of physical parameters, extending capabilities of similar online tools such as Rich Townsend's EZ-Web.
On April 30, 2021, the server that hosts MESA-Web will go offline. We are working to transfer MESA-Web to a new home that also hosts more computational resources that allow users to run more jobs. In the mean time, be sure to keep an eye out on the MESA-Users Mailing list for updates about when MESA-Web is back online. Thank you for your patience!
Test Suite Examples
Submit a Calculation - Single StarThe parameters below have been chosen to evolve a 1(M☉) model from pre main-sequence to white dwarf in less than 4 hours of wall time.
As a courtesy to other users please limit to two job submissions at once.
For more info on the selection of these input parameters, visit the How To Use MESA-Web section.
